Op zondag 5 april opent op facebook de digitale expositie ‘Virtual pleasures‘, een initiatief van Hommes kunst & projecten. Omdat het dagelijks leven aardig op zijn kop staat dankzij Covid-19 en het culturele leven daardoor aardig op zijn gat ligt, zullen Jannie Hommes en Hugo Bongers u deze dag live op facebook welkom heten in de expositie – neem uw eigen wijntje mee! Diverse kunstenaars, waaronder ik, hebben werk aangedragen dat gepresenteerd, besproken en voor een vriendelijke prijs verkocht wordt. Niet alleen zijn veel exposities afgelast; veel kunstenaars verdienen hun brood met bijbaantjes in de culturele sector. Veel mensen met ‘normale’ vaste banen en contracten daarentegen besparen geld uit door thuis te zitten, maar kijken tegen dezelfde kale muren aan. De oplossing lijkt voor de hand te liggen… Maar ook als u niets aan wilt schaffen kunt u meekijken; kunst biedt zelfs online genot. On Sunday 5 April Hommes art & projects welcomes you to ‘Virtual pleasures’, an online sale and exhibition. Because daily and cultural life are quite disrupted due to Covid-19, Jannie Hommes and Hugo Bongers will welcome you live on facebook to the opening of an online exhibition. Bring your own wine! Several artists’ works, including my own, will be presented, discussed and offered for sale for a friendly price. Not only have a lot of exhibitions been cancelled, a lot of artists normally earn a living through day jobs in the cultural sector. On the other hand, a lot of people with ‘normal’ jobs and contracts are stuck at home, not spending money but staring at a blank wall… The solution seems obvious! However, you are also welcome to join the opening if you’re not planning or able to buy. Art is also just a joy, even online!
